Despite Amtrak's near-collapse, Richmond's $60 million Main Street Station project continues as planned. To celebrate, all train tickets are on sale for $999.99.


Henrico County School Superintendent Mark A. Edwards gets a contract extension and a salary boost. The board tries to e-mail Edwards with the good news, but unfortunately his Apple iBook is out for repairs.


The state librarian continues to press former Gov. Jim Gilmore to turn over all his administration's official papers to the state archives. Give Gilmore a break — he's still trying to write a resume that will get him a job.
