+1The Richmond Renegades' 61-year-old owner and general manager Allan Harvie Jr. hits the ice against the Fayetteville FireAntz, becoming the second-oldest person ever to play in a professional hockey game. Then he traded back his stick for a cane.

0In his quest for president, the T-D reports, Jim Gilmore will get help with his first big fundraiser from local bigwigs Bill Goodwin, Bruce Gottwald and John Snow. They're planning to raise millions by pitching in a thousand dollars for every empty chair.

+1A wall rebuilt for $1 million after being destroyed in Tropical Storm Gaston is rededicated at the historic St. John's Episcopal Church. It is the only Richmond project completed in time for the 2007 celebration.
