Trailer Released for Locally-Filmed Daniel Radcliffe Movie "Imperium"

Posted By on Fri, Aug 19, 2016 at 10:50 AM

Here's the trailer for Daniel Radcliffe's new feature film, "Imperium" -- filmed in Central Virginia and showing off the talent of hot young local actor Devin Druid. The Byrd Theatre announces that the film will show in limited theatrical release starting Friday night at 9:30, and will screen through next Thursday. You can find more information here.

In the movie, Radcliffe plays an FBI agent who inflitrates a white supremecist terrorist organization. It's a far cry from his "Harry Potter" days. The trailer is possibly NSFW.

In other local movie news: The Bijou Film Center's first weekend of operation in its new home at 304 E. Broad St. will be Sept. 2 for First Friday. Reception from 6-10:30 p.m., with silent Charlie Chaplin shorts. Free till 9, when the Bopcats will play. Saturday is Chaplin's "Modern Times" at 7:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
