It’s no longer under wraps. The section of East Grace Street that ought to be renamed Restaurant Row at this point will soon gain another member. The Secret Sandwich Society, a sandwich open a second location in the now-empty space at 501 E. Grace St. and open its doors in 2016.

“We were excited by the growth potential of Richmond’s dining scene and the national attention it’s receiving,” David Bailey, co-owner of Secret Sandwich Society, said in a press release.

You can test your knowledge of American history while dipping a french fry in home-made ketchup at the restaurant — sandwiches are named after presidents and other historical figures, first ladies and Secret Service code names.

From a glance at the Fayetteville menu, soon, it appears, Richmonders can wrap their hands around the Polk, composed of a roasted chicken cutlet, chipotle-bacon jam, roasted garlic mayonnaise, or the Rawhide — President Ronald Reagan’s code name — a burger with mortadella, a fried egg, roasted garlic mayonnaise, pickles, crispy onions and American cheese, among other equally as loaded selections. A seasonal beer and cider menu will also be available.

Scott Boyers and Barry Hofheimer of CBRE Richmond represented the landlord.
