Zoned for Weirdness 

If architecture rewards the daring, the show of paintings and drawings by Dawn Latane at Chop Suey Books should bring in the coin. To be fair, not many folks have an aesthetic that skews toward houses made of breasts or eggs. But on paper the architecture of fantasy can always find real estate. So we have Latane's works, renderings of absurd structures that wouldn't look out of place in Dr. Seuss books, or in Miami, perhaps. And her labeling of the architectural features is a helpful way of cluing in the less-educated to the workings of her personal artistic physics. The show opens with a reception Saturday, May 13, 6-9 p.m. Through June 4. 497-4705. S
