Sure, galleries are about to make the artistic shift from an oil-on-canvas mentality to a more fruit-on-cake one, but the strange and wonderful and nonholiday art prevails. Look to ADA Gallery Friday, Nov. 24, for a show of works by Jenny Laden, Chris Norris and Jared Sprecher, 6-9 p.m. There is a second reception Dec. 1, 7-10 p.m. Through December. 644-0100. S
