The Louisville-based three-piece band, Young Widows, have a what-you-hear-is-what-you-get attitude in terms of their musical approach, and fundamentally what you hear is raw and unnerving rock songs that eliminate the word “stagnant” entirely from the vocabulary. A post-punk band reminiscent of the Misfits, the Young Widows steer away from style and reinforce the focus of substance. Supporting their latest album “Old Wounds,” Young Widows can be seen at Nara Sushi on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.
