New York-based Americana alt-country band Yarn is no stranger to Richmond. The group has played at the Camel numerous times and always fills the venue with devoted fans and tons of energy. Since its start in 2007, Yarn has been recognized by the American Music Association and R&R radio charts and received eight Grammy nominations. After making its first appearance at this year’s South by Southwest Festival in Texas in the new frontier showcase, Yarn released its new album, “Almost Home,” thanks to fans donating thousands of dollars to its Kickstarter campaign. Those fans will be able to see the results of their donations when Yarn performs at the Camel on Thursday, April 5, at 9 p.m. $7-$10. 353-4901.
