WW II: Virginians in Canadian Service Ceremony 

When: Tue., Oct. 22, 12 p.m. 2013
Price: Free.
Prior to the United States entering World War II, many Americans traveled to Canada to join its military to fight for freedom. During this time, 13 Virginians perished. This ceremony will be in partnership with the government of Canada to unveil a plaque with these men's names that will be displayed at the Virginia War Memorial.
