For most music-loving illustrative artists and photographers, producing the iconic cover of a memorable record can be a dream come true. A single image becomes consistently associated with the tunes beneath its sleeve. While not as glamorous, prints about upcoming shows for an artist can be just as memorable — at least from a local's standpoint. Honoring such indie ads is Ghostprint Gallery's “Wretched Glory.” Curated by Patrick Godfrey of Velocity Comics, artist Spencer Hansen and Ghostprint's Thea Duskin, the exhibit showcases a litany of eye-catching gig posters, handbills and flyers that successfully highlight Richmond as a musical tour destination both past and present. The exhibit is scheduled to be on display through Aug. 28. 344-1557 or visit
