I assume there are those who read Darrl Lynn's letter and scoffed (“Another Factor in Circuit City's Downfall,” Dec. 17). When the discrimination lawsuit was filed against Circuit City I stopped buying there. I had always supported my local company with all computer and CD purchases. I stopped at that time and still do not shop at Circuit City because of its pattern of racial discrimination. While I am sure that my corporate and personal purchases did not bring Circuit City down, there are no shed tears at its failure. David Baugh Richmond
Richmond should take the time to look a little deeper when borrowing from other cities. Claims made by proponents of new ballparks usually are overstated.
