While the misinformed could think Who's Bad was a quick cash-in following the recent death of Michael Jackson and the resurgent interest in his music, this North Carolina-based tribute ensemble has been dutifully honoring the talents of the King of Pop since its formation in 2003. With vocalists Joseph Bell and Taalib York matching the legendary performer's lyrical nuances and dance-floor choreography step for step, the band's song list includes the glory days of the Jackson 5 and album standouts “Off the Wall” and “Thriller.” For anyone looking to remember the late music legend in a live setting, Who's Bad, the Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band, performs at the Hat Factory on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. $12-$15.
