Where Hops Meet the Sea, There Is Beauty

The River City Beer and Seafood Festival proves once again that beer and seafood are as good a marriage as, say, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill — who aren't playing Brown's Island for the festival. Rather, you'll hear local roots aficionados The Atkinsons, jazz outfit The Adrian Duke Project, F.R.E.N.S., KWEST Band and "party band" Souler Coaster. There will be special appearances by crab cakes and oysters. Seafood and beer may have a marriage of convenience, but they'll stay together for the kids. That is, us. The festival is June 10, noon-9 p.m. Free, but tasting mugs are $25. Call 788-6466 or visit www.citycelebrations.org. S
