In terms of heat index July's the least-forgiving month, so what better way to capitalize on our ever-present thirst than by building an old-fashioned lemonade stand? For a few years this has been the mindset of the Anthem LemonAid. Organized by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia with the Richmond chapter of the Children's Miracle Network, this annual fundraiser of lemon and water has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for childhood cancer treatment and research. It takes place between July 16 and 18 at various locations throughout the area. For a list of stations and registration info visit www.anthemlemonaid.com. — Mike Hilleary
