Webb Wilder at Capital Ale House

Roots rocker Webb Wilder lives by the motto, “Work hard, rock hard, eat hard, sleep hard, grow big, wear glasses if you need 'em.” While it may not be a creed everyone can live by, it's certainly worked out well enough for the rambunctious Southern songwriter, who in the past two decades has released seven studio albums, been a radio show host and dabbled in acting. With his latest collection of songs, “More Like Me,” the first in four years, Wilder shows growth. But with songs such as “Too Cool for Love” and “She's Not Romantic,” he never conceals his tendency for some good old-fashioned fun and wit. Wilder plays Capital Ale House on Saturday, June 20, at 10 p.m. $10. 780-ALES. — Lauren Nicole Hill
