Vladimir and Estragon, the main characters in Samuel Beckett's world-famous play, "Waiting for Godot," easily can be described as the spiritual precursors to Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza. They talk, they argue, they reconcile, they waste time, and ultimately contribute nothing of any great significance. Capable of eliciting innumerable social, political and religious interpretations, Beckett's "tragicomedy in two acts" is a testament to the power of allegorical minimalism.
