Wait …The Strokes?

Well, apparently so. What can this mean, that Manhattan's most privileged rock stars bring their chic shrieks to humble Innsbrook After Hours? Is this The Big Time? Are we On the Map? Whatever the case, The Strokes are stopping over for a night at the FasMart Pavilion Saturday, May 20, in support of their latest album, "First Impressions of Earth." Here, they'll yowl and howl and sling guitars across the stage, all polished pop on one end, and dirty old rock from the most well-appointed garage on the Eastern Seaboard. And we, in turn, will give them their first impressions of Richmond, now appearing On the Map. Gates open at 6 p.m. Apples in Stereo opens. Tickets are $10-$35. Call 794-6700 or visit www.innsbrookafterhours.com.
