Versus: Gov. George Allen vs. Terry McAuliffe

Virginia's new governor hasn't even been sworn in, and already there's speculation about 2013, with former Gov. George Allen, a Republican, and former gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, topping some whispered gossip betting pools. The two met on semifriendly turf last week at the Richmond Crusade for Voters.

Allen: “I've heard your speeches, and if I was voting in a Democratic primary. …”

McAuliffe: “A lot of Republicans did!”
