If you’re in the mood to get loud and chaotic this weekend, head to the Canal Club for the United Blood Fest, a two-day festival featuring some of the hardest names in metal and hardcore music. Playing the event are (deep breath): Criminal Instinct, Cruel Hand, DNA, Fire and Ice, Hard Stripes, Malfunction, Outcrowd, Rude Awakening, Striking Distance, Tough Luck, Trapped Under Ice, War Hungry, Bane, Born Annoying, Breakaway, Down to Nothing, Foundation, Harms Way, Iron Boots, Ivy League, King Nine, No One Rules, Power Trip, Soul Search, Turnstile and Upperhand, with more to be announced. Pack some earplugs and get ready to bang your head when the Untied Blood Fest hits the Canal Club on Friday, March 29, beginning at 2:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 31, starting at noon. $55 for a weekend pass. unitedblood.blogspot.com.
