“Unhealed History” Is Required Reading

Kudos for providing the excerpt from the Rev. Ben Campbell’s book, “Richmond’s Unhealed History”. It is the finest statement I’ve seen on Richmond’s interaction with the surrounding metropolitan counties, and the need for some consolidation of governmental services to have any sustainable future. It is strategic, visionary and above all, it appears to be a product of great wisdom.

Reprints of this article should be placed in the hands of every councilman, supervisor, and every community, civic and corporate leader around. It should be required reading in all local departments of planning, economic development and all schools of urban studies at area universities. If Campbell’s book is as well developed as the article would suggest, it should receive an equal distribution.
