Ukrop's Christmas Parade Returns

The annual Ukrop's Christmas Parade returns to Richmond's Broad Street on Saturday, Dec. 1. The theme of this year's parade is "Making Richmond Holiday Memories." With Emmy award-winning actress Kim Zimmer of "Guiding Light," as grand marshal, it will certain be a memorable event for soap opera fans. The parade also features the usual high-flying balloons, decorative floats and of course, Santa Claus. The parade is free, but tickets are available online for reserved grandstand seating. 559-6113. richmondchristmasparde.org
