The old-time vaudevillian swing of the Two Man Gentlemen Band has, in three short years, managed to make waves in the music scene. The duo travels back and forth across the country, playing hundreds of shows for dedicated fans. It even caught the attention of such big names as Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, for whom it opened a handful of shows. The Gentlemen’s mixture of hot jazz and Tin Pan Alley, augmented by a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm, led their sixth album, “Two at a Time,” to receive high marks from both NPR and Pitchfork. The Two Man Gentlemen Band performs at Balliceaux on Wednesday, June 20, at 10 p.m. $5. 355-3008.
