Turn on the Lights

Regarding Patrick “Greenie” Farley’s comment on lights out in downtown buildings: To a small degree, I can agree. But nothing draws people and moths like lights. Not only should there be some lights on (especially for those driving Interstate 95), but I think it would be fantastic if a lot of the downtown buildings kept throughout the year the vertical light tubes used during the Christmas season.

Fort Worth and Dallas in Texas and several other cities have done this for decades. It gives the city a vibrant look. The good news is, if passersby pulled off into the Bottom and Slip then we’ve got them trapped because there are almost no signs to assist one in getting out of the Slip and Bottom and back on I-95 or the Downtown Expressway!
