Formed by guitarist and vocalist Jonas Stein from Be Your Own Pet, Nashville garage rock band Turbo Fruits is simply everything you want out of garage punk. It’s original, loud, catchy, and makes you want to get up and party. With a string of successful releases under its belt, the group launched its latest full-length album, “Butter,” on Sept. 11. The album’s lead singles, “Sweet Thang” and “Harley Dollar Bill$,” already have generated buzz, causing sales of the singles to be sold out within hours. Turbo Fruits performs at Strange Matter on Friday, Sept. 14, at 9 p.m. $7. strangematterrva.com.
