Track 19 - Diamond Center

"Nemo"

Ever since Style first interviewed the Diamond Center in November 2009, we knew it was special. Blending a wall of swirling reverb and fuzzed-out distortion with gothic country, the group invited us on its psychedelic journey that began in Athens, Ga., and then Lubbock, Texas. As if Brandi Price's vocals couldn't be more haunting, the Diamond Center upped the ante with gobs of tribal face paint at the packed record-release show for its new 7-inch. The band recently returned to Texas to play the Austin Psych Fest, where it shared a bill with legendary 13th Floor Elevators frontman Roky Erickson.
