Tired of having to constantly wheedle your child off the roof before he jumps, wearing a cape and two pieces of cardboard strapped to his arms? Let your kid get a real sense of what it's like to fly with the Virginia Aviation Museum's day-long Wright Brothers Celebration exhibit. Featuring life-sized replicas of Orville and Wilbur's famous gliders and flyers, visitors will also have the opportunity to get behind the 21st-century hardware of a XJ-5 simulator, re-creating the movements of a still-in-development stealth fighter plane complete with barrel rolls and combat missions. Don't be surprised if you get the urge to play some volleyball or find your lost lovin' feeling when it's all over. The exhibit opens Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $5-$6. 5701 Huntsman Road. 236-3622. — Mike Hilleary
