Tom McCormack at Sycamore Rouge

Tom McCormack has held a number of jobs over the years. From acting as a producer and reporter for a human interest television program covering the Tri-Cities of Virginia, working as a self-employed historic home renovator, a free-lance artist, graphic designer and tinsmith, even playing keyboards for bands Meanflower and Carbon Leaf, you'd think the guy has some kind of enduring identity crisis. Settling into his latest role as a solo musical artist, releasing his album, “Anxieties and Accomplishments,” McCormack plays his first headlining gig in 10 years at the Sycamore Rouge Theater on Friday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. $10. 957-5707. — Mike Hilleary
