The post-hardcore rockers of Thrice have come a long way since their 2003 hit album, “The Artist in the Ambulance.” After four albums — most of which went in drastically different musical directions — and numerous worldwide tours, the band recently released its newest disc, “Major/Minor,” to critical acclaim from critics and fans, who consider it to be going back to the glory days of the group while still being fresh and relevant. Pack some earplugs because the noise will be off the charts when Thrice performs at the National on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. $17-$20. 612-1900.
