While their long-sleeved, primary color uniforms give the impression that they'd be better suited following orders on the Starship Enterprise, Australian entertainers the Wiggles hardly seek the approval of cynical adults. For nearly 20 years this quartet of perky performers has achieved international success for its ability to integrate child-development theories into educational song-and-dance numbers, all for the benefit of their preschool fan base. Joined by regular characters such as Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword and Wags the Dog, the Wiggles are a constant presence on television, music albums and stage productions. Touring the United States, Anthony, Jeff, Murray and Sam are scheduled to bring their cartoonish enthusiasm to Richmond CenterStage on Thursday, Aug. 19, at 6:30 p.m. $27-$77.
