If you need a taste of what local music had to offer in 2012, look no further than this show at Balliceaux. The Trillions, White Laces and Anousheh all contributed greatly to the RVA music scene this year, releasing albums that made the city take notice and gaining recognition across the country. White Laces’ “Moves” made its premiere on the blog Stereogum in August, while the Trillions’ “Tritones” was featured on iTunes, Spinner and countless music blogs. Grammy award-winning Anousheh returned to the music scene with the release of “The Trouble I Find” with a new backing band and fresh sound. White Laces, the Trillions and Anousheh perform along with DJ Big Chair at Balliceaux on Friday, Dec. 28, at 10:30 p.m. $5. balliceauxrva.com.
