If you missed out on seeing Bon Iver play at the National this summer, you also missed out on seeing indie-rock duo Ivan Howard and Kelly Crisp — also known as the Rosebuds — open the show. The Rosebuds must have loved Richmond because the group is making a return trip — this time at the Camel, where the band’s playfully eclectic sound can be greater appreciated. In support of their new album “Loud Planes Fly Low,” the Rosebuds play songs that are brutally reflective and proudly mature. See them shine on their own when they perform at the Camel on Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. $12-$14. 353-4901.
