Richmond gets a taste of Hispanic culture when the Qué Pasa Festival, a day of fun celebrating Cinco de Mayo, comes to the Canal Walk. The event will feature food from local restaurants including Kenn Tico Cuban Bar & Grill, La Michoacana and Rio Lindo Restaurant, plus live music, crafts and the culture of the Hispanic community. There will also be free boat rides on the canal, with craft decorated in homage to the famous Floating Gardens of Xochimilco, Mexico. Performances throughout the day include the Latin Ballet of Virginia, Agrupación Masalla, Capoeira Resistencia, Ban Caribe, and the Miss Hispanidad Talent and Fashion Show and Joseito. The Qué Pasa Festival of Virginia takes place on Saturday, May 5, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Richmond’s Canal Walk. Free. quepasafestival.com.
