The Monument Avenue 10k may have reached its entry limit and closed registration, but there will be little to stop the rest of the capital from coming out in droves to attend the annual race. Recently named one of the best running contests in the country by USA Today, along with the likes of the Boston, Chicago and San Francisco marathons, Richmond's pavement-pounding celebration is scheduled with plenty of bands, costumed tomfoolery and eats. The competition kicks off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 27. For an overview visit
