To call horror-punk artists the Misfits pioneers in punk music is an understatement. The group has been entertaining fans since the late ’70s, blending punk rock with horror-film themes. It built a worldwide fan base, bringing more eyes and ears to the genre. After a decade-long hiatus and more member changes than most people could count, the band’s lineup of original bassist Jerry Only, former Black Flag guitarist Dez Cadena and drummer Eric “Chupacabra” Arce released “The Devil’s Rain” earlier this month, giving fans an updated take on the terror-inspired punk for which the band was known. The Misfits play at Kingdom on Monday, Nov. 7, at 5 p.m. $20. 571-312-2388.
