The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, “The Lion King,” tells the story of Simba, who learns lessons while he accepts his role as king of Pride Rock. The production promises to be one of the Landmark’s most ambitious and visually appealing — with visual recreations of the African Pridelands, animals brought to life by a cast of more than 40 actors and a musical score that includes Elton John and Tim Rice’s Oscar-winning song, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” and “Circle of Life.” Expect a sensation. “The Lion King” roars at the Landmark Theater on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m. and runs until March 11. $25-$128. broadwayinrichmond.com.
