Family folk may seem very kind of "whirling-on-a-Swiss-mountaintop," but The Bowmans' songs have a little more stuff going on. Sure, there are singing girls with tambourines, but there's something very seductive about the sound, about the voices, that doesn't seem unwholesome, but sure doesn't seem entirely innocent, either.
