Starting their career busking in subway stations and recording their first album in a chicken coop, upstate New Yorker’s Felice Brothers have come a long way in a relatively short time, bringing their Dylan-graveled folk and Band-inspired Americana to a greater audiences. A regular road fixture, landing gigs at musical events such as Bonnaroo, the Newport Folk Festival and Coachella, the band is touring heavily behind the release of its latest LP, “Celebration Florida.” Recorded in the gymnasium and theater of an old New York high school, the new album showcases an expanded palette — making use of drumbeats, synths, and 808s — while still holding onto its ramshackle sound. The Felice Brothers are scheduled to perform at Maymont Park as part of the summer’s Groovin’ in the Garden music series on Thursday, June 16, at 5:30 p.m. $18-$23. 866-707-2289.
