While most everyone decorates their homes for the holidays, not everyone opens them to the public. At least nine houses will do just that for the Fan Holiday House Tour. The 19th- and early-20th-century homes on Park, Grove and Hanover avenues will be elaborately adorned with lights, wreaths and other holiday trappings. The tour also will feature the first-time view of a complete restoration of a three-floor Monument Avenue house. The Fan Holiday House Tour takes place Dec. 10 and 11, from 1-5 p.m. each day. $25-$30. fantourrichmond.com.
