The spring social scene bursts forth with the Easter Parade. After a long winter of icy roads, expensive heat and school closings, this beloved, annual tradition no doubt will be appreciated, with Richmonders emerging into the warmer months to do what they do best: outdoor socializing. Monument Avenue will be a hub of grateful activity with its spectacle of hats and humanity while people rejoice not only in the resurrection of Christ, but also in their long overdue rebirths into the great outdoors. Rain or shine, the Easter Parade takes place Sunday, April 20, on Monument between Allen and Davis avenues from 1-5 p.m.
