Even if you aren’t a fan of punk rock, it’s difficult to dislike the Dickies. They’re like your excitable friends who go out of their way to show you a good time. That’s why the legendary Los Angeles group is so beloved. The world can be a depressing place, but nobody — and I mean nobody — is depressed when the Dickies play. Their amphetamine-driven, punk party and roll joyously refuses to be mired in life’s heavy burdens, and it’s a lesson these fanatical preachers of fun gleefully impart every time they set foot onstage. If you need to be reminded of the importance of enjoying yourself, this is one show you don’t want to miss. The Dickies explode with giddy exuberance Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Bandito’s Burrito Lounge. Norfolk’s Bottle Babies open. The party gets started at 9 p.m. Free. banditosburritolounge.com.
