Director Darren Lynn Bousman and writer and actor Terrance Zdunich, the duo responsible for the 2008 breakout cult hit “Repo! the Genetic Opera,” reunite for their anticipated follow-up film, the hellish new musical, “The Devil’s Carnival.” The movie tells the story of a scheming kleptomaniac, an innocent young woman and an obsessed father entering a twisted carnival run by Lucifer and his colorful cast of carnies. There they endure the consequences of their transgressions. This special road tour presentation of the film features burlesque performances, a celebrity meet and greet, a question-and-answer session with the creators, sing-a-longs and costume contests. “The Devil’s Carnival” screens at the Byrd Theatre on Sunday, April 22, at 9:30 p.m. $21-$42.
