The fight against cancer joins forces with the fruit of the vine Thursday, July 24, at the fourth annual Richmond Uncorked Gala by Wines for a Cure. The fundraiser by the Ashland-based nonprofit will feature three reasonably priced wines from Williamsburg Winery: Governor’s White, Plantation Blush and Two Shillings Red. You’ll also find an assortment of appetizers and popular sounds performed by the crowd-pleasing duo Mike and Ed, all raising money for cancer awareness and research. The charitable night of civic indulgences will be held at the Billy Reynolds Building at 6605 W. Broad St. at 5 p.m. Admission is $20. For information call 901-1200 or visit
