Critics consider Tarrus Riley to be one of the most promising of the second-generation roots reggae singers. He hit a career high last year when he won Best Male Vocalist and Best Song at the 2008 International Reggae and World Music Awards. A genuine son of Jamaica, tackling the topics of Rastafarianism and romance, Riley performs at Club 321 on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 8 p.m. 1708 E. Main St. — Mike Hilleary
