Members of San Diego three-piece Tape Deck Mountain are very much aware of their musical aesthetic given that they titled their 2009 debut, “Ghosts.” Blurring lines of electronic experimentalism, noise rock texturing, and specter-channeling vocals through all kind of echo fuzz and distortion, the trio has a love for a rich, slow-burning aimlessness. Capable of huge crashes and contemplative psych drones, the band is currently supporting the release of a new EP entitled, “P.I.,” which centers on the misadventures of a less-than-ethical private investigator. Tape Deck Mountain is scheduled to perform at Strange Matter on Sunday, June 26, at 8 p.m. $8. 447-4763.
