Through July 31

With summer in full swing, the sun’s rays can often feel like they’re capable of measurable weight on your body. Though we can’t always stay cool, we can get some relief from a pair of tinted shades. No longer relegated to utilitarian purposes, modern sunglasses have taken on a more stylish, accessory-based function, particularly among big names of the music industry (just ask Bono or Kanye West). Paying tribute to another season of outdoor music festivals, Artemis Gallery invites patrons to add their bit of artistic eccentricity to the concert scene with “Sunglasses & Rock ’n’ Roll.” Featuring a collection of works by John Crutchfield and a team of talented artists, you can trade in your boring Clubmasters or aviators and purchase your own pair of designer shades through July 31. 353-2676.
