Sullivan Reinstated at U.Va.

The University of Virginia Board of Visitors voted unanimously to reinstate Teresa Sullivan as president this afternoon, ending weeks of turmoil.

U.Va. Rector Helen Dragas and board member Heywood Fralin motioned to reinstate Sullivan just weeks after Dragas orchestrated her ouster. All 16 members of the board voted in favor of Sullivan’s return.

Afterward, Sullivan briefly addressed a crowd of supporters, according to The Hook, a weekly newspaper in Charlottesville.
