Style & Substance: T-Shirts With Heart

Sometimes it's just a jeans and T-shirt kind of day. But that doesn't mean your casual cotton can't have a cheerful attitude. Just ask Enrique Pascal and Patrick Pierre-Louis, co-owners of Enrique Pierre Clothing, which launched its line of women's shirts this summer.

With thousands of feel-good designs (no skulls and bones among them), the Richmond-based company wholesales to shops in 16 cities and is expanding by the minute. Recent conversations with Beyoncé, who loves the collection, may lead to even more buzz.

Though not yet available by retail in the city, locals can buy the T-shirts online (our favorite is the "No Monkey Business Here" design, available for $19.99) through www.enriquepierre.com.
