Critics hail Stephane Wrembel as one of the world’s most dynamic guitar players. The French-born gypsy jazz guitarist embraces numerous historically significant styles of jazz and world music to create a sound all his own. In 2012, he released his fifth album, “Origins,” to critical acclaim and performed the original song “Bistro Fada” (the theme to Woody Allen’s box office hit “Midnight in Paris”) at the Academy Awards. The guitarist has a few new songs up his sleeves, so expect a fun time when Stephane Wrembel performs at Kingdom on Saturday, March 23, at 8 p.m. $12-$15. kingdomrva.com.
