With 12 Country Music Award nominations and one win, Sara Evans has established herself as a true Nashville star. She released a greatest hits album in 2007, which includes fan favorites such as "Born to Fly" and new songs, including "Some Things Never Change." This has been a hell of a year for Evans, with the intimate details of her recent divorce becoming tabloid fodder. But it didn't keep her from remarrying and getting back on tour with her pop-rock-infused country sound. Evans performs at the National on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $42.50. 612-1900 or visit www.thenationalva.com.
