"Chapter Two" The Chamberlayne Actors Theatre presents playwright Neil Simon's semiautobiographical story about a writer who, after the death of his wife, is sent on a series of unwanted and unsuccessful dates by his matchmaking younger brother. "I Ought to Be in Pictures" The Barksdale Theatre at Hanover Tavern presents Neil Simon's play about a once successful Hollywood screenwriter suddenly thrust into a new kind of challenge when his daughter appears on his doorstep. "Murder in the Court" The Mystery Dinner Playhouse performs a murder-mystery comedy featuring a courtroom backdrop, complete with judge, jury and an executioner, at the Holiday Inn West End. Performances continue each Saturday at 7:30 p.m. through Oct. 10. $42. 2000 Staples Mill Road. 649-2583.
